Industrial Training Institute, Jammu got established in 1958. This college is centrally located with a distance of 5 km from the university of Jammu and 3 km from the heart of Jammu city i.e. Jewel Chowk. College is constructed on 12 kanals of land and having 42000 sq.ft constructed area .
The Directorate of Technical Education was established in the year 1981 by the creation of a unified body for the administration and control of the Institutions imparting Technical/ Vocational Trainings in the State.
